How USDai Works

USDai is a two-sided credit protocol: depositors provide capital, AI infrastructure operators borrow against GPU assets, and the protocol coordinates the lending lifecycle across onchain and offchain systems.

Capital In: USDai and sUSDai

Capital enters through USDai. Users who want yield exposure can stake USDai for sUSDai, whose value is designed to reflect income generated by the protocol’s underlying assets and lending activity.

USDai is the liquid base asset; sUSDai represents the yield-bearing side of the system. They serve different risk and liquidity roles.

Loans Out: GPU Infrastructure Financing

Borrowers finance GPU servers and related AI infrastructure. Loan structures use collateral, documented cash flows and predefined closing conditions before capital is released.

The financing process separates origination, hardware delivery, verification, closing and ongoing repayment so that major state changes can be documented and tracked.

Onchain Meets Offchain

Offchain agreements establish enforceable rights over real-world assets. Onchain records provide transparent balances, payment state and programmable routing. Neither layer is intended to replace the other.

Redemptions & Governance

sUSDai liquidity depends on the underlying asset mix and redemption process, while CHIP governance is used for protocol-level decisions and risk parameters.
